Summary

Reincarnation is one of the primary ways you can progress your character. It allows you to reset your characters back to level 1, granting two additional reincarnation points, and letting you rebuild your character with new race and class selections. Your primary race/class, what you chose when you very first created your character, will remain the same.

Reincarnation Points

Reincarnation points can be spent to add an additional class or race to your character. You can only spend a limited amount of these points on classes, one additional class at character creation, and an additional class after every reincarnation. There is not a limit on how many of your points you can spend on races.

To see how many total reincarnation points you have and have spent for race or class, target any NPC in purgatory (Load) and /say debug

Reincarnation Levels

Your first reincarnation is available at level 30. Each additional reincarnation is available in increments of 10 levels after that, so level 40, 50, 60, 70, etc.

You do not have to reincarnate immediately upon reaching the reincarnation level threshold, but you will not receive credit for reincarnating at a higher level by skipping one. In other words, if you could reincarnate at level 30, but wait until 50 to reincarnate, you will receive two reincarnation points and your next reincarnation will still require reaching level 40.

How to Reincarnate

Each reincarnation requires a certain character level to be achieved.

Once the required level is met, you can hail the portal and receive a new prompt for reincarnating.

Additional Information

Your spell book will be reset, so plan on stocking up on useful spells in advance.

After your 3rd reincarnation, portal spells will auto-scribe if Wizard or Druid is one of your classes.
