Rules

Players are expected and required to follow these rules. Breaking the rules will get you anywhere from a warning, to public shaming, to hard IP ban to full account reset, depending on the severity of the rule breaking and subject to the dev handing out punishment.

Ignorance of the rules is not a valid excuse.

Other people breaking the rules is not a valid reason to break the rules yourself. If we catch you, you will be punished.

The dev team cannot spend countless hours policing the server, and we encourage people to report suspicious behavior to us via Discord. We will investigate as we are able and issue punishments or warnings if needed. If you want to make a report, PM Dingus specifically on Discord with as much info as you can provide.

[NOTE] - This rules page is only here because some people cannot access Discord to see the single source of truth rules list. I will try to keep this updated with the current rules, but the rules listed on discord are the ultimate listing of rules where this one may fall out of date...

The Rules:

• 1. Don't piss off the developers.

• 2. Seriously, DO NOT PISS OFF THE DEVELOPERS.

• 3. Any form of cheating including MacroQuest, ShowEQ, ect WILL NOT BE TOLERATED. If you are using it, agents have already been dispatched to your location. HAVING IT RUNNING AT ALL WILL BE PUNISHED!
  • 3.1. Multiboxing of any nature will also not be tolerated under ANY circumstance.
  • 3.2. AFK Killing or Healing will be punished as the GM sees fit (Expect it to hurt).

• 4. Any software hooking, reading memory from, or otherwise interacting with the game client is also NOT TOLERATED. Cheat Engine, Debuggers, EQBC, ect WILL GET YOU BANNED!

• 5. We have a zero tolerance policy when it comes to extreme hate speech. This includes racist, homophobic, xenophobic and other comments. This is subject to administrative discretion. Don't do it. You WILL NOT be warned!

• 6. Especially DO NOT PISS OFF AILIA!

• 7. Ping the developers at your own risk. If its important enough that its necessary, so be it.
  • 7.1 This includes DMs, we have day jobs so unless the server is on fire or someone found a game breaking exploit it probably doesn't need to be a DM
  • 7.2 Doing so at 2 AM is not recommended, or really any time past 11 PM PST. See Rule 6.

• 8. Report exploits via Private Message ONLY

• 9. Intentional Griefing and/or Training is not allowed.

• 10. Being an ass in ooc will result in your ooc privileges revoked!

• 11. All server-wide buy/sell/trade is only allowed in /auc

• 12. See Rule 6.

• 13. Guild bashing by any party will not be tolerated. Any guild found doing it directed at another guild will be punished.

• 14. Repeated abuse by a guild will result in disbanding and its leader being banned without appeal

• 15. Lying to and/or deceiving developers is not allowed. (The fact we even had to add this one tells me something)

• 16. Dingus is a Dingus. Despite not being a developer rules 1, 7 and 7.1 still apply.

• 17. Ban evasion is a bannable offense.

• 18. If it breaks the Discord TOS, it breaks the rules.
